In today’s modern world, language plays a crucial role in both studies and jobs. It is commonly considered that primary school is the most important period for minors to acquire a new language. It is my view that benefits of language learning at an early age surpass its drawbacks.
On the one hand, learning foreign language at primary school can be difficult to students. They should concentrate on basic subjects which help them to comprehend world and environment easily. For example, science, physical education, visual art should be thought first. Moreover, children may feel confused and find it difficult to distinguish native and foreign language. As an example some students can not differentiate between their mother tongue and the other languages to communicate with people and it leads to language disorders.
On the other hand, advantages of learning a new language at an early age are considerably more. Although getting acquainted with a foreign language at an early age can lead to language disorders, children can become more intelligent. For instance, parents can communicate with children to teach them how to distinguish language in different circumstances. Furthermore, children can acquire language at their early age. When it comes to secondary school language learning process becomes harder, so it would be more convenient to start leaning a new language at primary school.
In conclusion, despite some drawbacks of problem with learning a new language at a primary school, I believe that advantages of it outweigh the disadvantages.
