At this current day and age, technology has become an essential part of everyone’s lives. With the development of the modern world, tech has been utilized for education, communication, entertainment, and work. In my opinion, the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages, provided that technology is used responsibly.
One major advantage of technology is that it makes communication easier. Individuals across the world can be connected within mere seconds using instant messaging, and video and audio calling applications. Technology has also made education more freely available via YouTube and various other platforms so students can catch up on missed lessons and attend online classes remotely from anywhere to make education accessible for everyone.
However, there are many disadvantages linked to the increased use of technology. People can become overly dependent on their devices and use certain artificial inelegance tools too much which could hinder their ability to think for themselves. Another major disadvantage is the mental strain technology can have on people, especially young adults. Being exposed to technology and the internet for long periods at a time may result in unwanted sites and ideas being introduced which could lead to certain mental burdens and unrealistic expectations.
Despite these disadvantages, I believe technology has a large positive impact on peoples lives. If it is used responsibly and in moderation, its benefits for communication, education, and everyday activities are greater than its drawbacks.
