In this day and age, humans’ activities play a part in damaging the environment. This essay attempts to clarify the driving factors behind this tendency before outlining several viable solutions that should be adopted to tackle it.
There are two primary reasons why human behaviors have negative effects on the environment. Firstly, this trend occurs due to emissions released by each individuals’ transportation and production. This is because the rising demand for transportation and goods has led to the widespread use of vehicles such as motorbikes, cars causing air pollution, while the continuous operation of factories results in water pollution, affecting both residents and environment. Secondly, the environment is also being destroyed because many people frequently litter. For instance, there are people who lack awareness and frequently litter in public places and along sidewalks, causing pollution to many wild animals and also affecting society like destroying the infrastructure, public health.
To combat this worrying issue, the following essential steps should be taken. First and foremost, investing in the research and development of clean energy sources such as solar or wind energy. As a result, humanity will begin to adopt and widely use these energy sources all around the world, thereby markedly reducing greenhouse gas emissions arising from energy generation and can protect the community’s health . Furthermore, the government should encourage people to switch from single-use plastic bottles to reusable containers through environmental campaigns. For example, switching from single-use items to reusable ones helps people save on purchasing costs while simultaneously reducing daily waste and the activities of industrial manufacturing also waste disposal facilities.
In conclusion, there are some underlying motives behind this negative perception towards environmental degradation, and it is crucial that the aforementioned measures be implemented to change this oppositional perspective.
