The issue of whether private cars should be prohibited from use in the central urban areas has been widely discussed in recent years. Some people believe that private cars should not be allowed in central urban areas. I completely agree with this view because it causes traffic congestion and increases air pollution.
To begin with, private cars cause traffic congestion in the city centers. This is mainly because they block roads, especially during a few specific peak hours. For instance, when people use cars to go to their offices or drop students off at their schools instead of public transport, the traffic gets jammed. For example, if a person has to go to his office, he will be just one person in the car, while there they maybe others who have to reach the same location and they will use their own medium of transport. This can result in traffic congestion, and this may affect the workers and students reaching their destinations on time. As a result, the use of private cars can cause traffic congestion in central urban areas.
Another important reason is that it causes air pollution. This is because running of vehicle require combustion of fuel, coal, whose emissions are released directly into the environment, which has a huge impact on air quality. For instance, the release of these toxic compounds has led to an increase in global warming over the last few years. Consequently, different types of health issues have arisen in society, and globally, the weather has changed. This clearly demonstrates that the usage of these private cars can cause air pollution.
In conclusion, I completely agree with this view that private cars should be banned from the city centers. This is mainly because they cause air pollution and traffic congestion.
