It is often argued that siblings’ involvement in raising a child will bring them to a brighter future. I disagree with the statement prior, and believe that the child will gain more benefit from growing up with two parents.
Different people have different values and styles of raising a child. For example, the parents might want the child to have more freedom, while the uncle might want the child to be more restricted to protect them from bad influences. This will cause a conflict in the family, leading to more neglect. Another point is that over-involvement from a member can undermine parental authority. For instance, a child raised with grandparents will respect them more than biological parents. This potentially cause a conflict between the child and the parents, as the child in later life will question if they even love them at all.
Secondly, modern families are living apart from each other with little to no connection between each other. This can stem from many factors, such as their work or commitment towards other things. This will lead to a more difficult arrangement in raising with multiple people, causing the child or the other sibling to travel more, resulting in wasting more time. With only two parents, they can raise a child with a full commitment without having to travel far apart or anything.
In conclusion, it is more beneficial for the child to be raised by a couple than an entire family. This is due to the high potential of conflict and how modern lifestyle works.
