It is surely important for children at young age to understand what is wrong and what is right and surely punishment is necessary for them to gain this knowledge in right way
Kids don’t understand the difference between right and wrong and their behavior might be incorrect in some ways. Here is where parents should teach their children about correct and incorrect things.Of course children won’t understand this from just hearing a lecture from their parent and so here is why punishment and rewarding need to be used.Punishment is complicated because firstly every kid is different but also children are very fragile in every way physically and mentally so punishing have to be correct.For example punishment including physical violence will hurt kids in moral and physical way and they will start fearing their parents and avoid punishment at any cost.Punishment should lead kids to the right path and children must understand why are they punished.
It is arguable but I think that rewarding kids through presents and gifts too often is not effective and by this way parents not only spoil then but they also make a kid think of a correct thing as a way of getting a gift. The best way of praising your child after a right decision is to say them few kind words.Some people may think it is too harsh but with this way kids will understand that correct decisions are good but also that they are not extraordinary thing and they need to be done regularly
I think that children must be educated and teaches without harm and their moral state has to be considered. And for children right behaviour shouldn’t be something too much special
