In my perspective, the progress in science world has made the life easier for consumers and producers. This essay will justify both the aspects along with my viewpoint in subsequent fragments.
To inaugurate with, multitudes are living a hectic lifestyle in this extravagant world to fulfil their basic requirements. They do not get time to consume healthy and nutritious meal. Therefore, technology has invented the GM food with minimum use of instecidies and pesticides on crops which is not only rich in protein but easy to cook and ingest as well. Additionally, farming sector has made extreme progress with profit. Due to the fact that selective and cross-breeding through pollination has become fast and efficient with smaller efforts. Consequently, the production of food is high with low cost of labour. To quote an instance, farmers added fish genes in tomato to prevent frost and soybean has added to product to increase the intake of proteins for vegetarian population.
On the other hand, despite advantages it carries drawback as well. Firstly, it disturbs the balance of nature. To explain it, pollination done naturally by air, wind and birds are carried out with help of machines. These process involves large usage of chemicals which increases the risk of allergies and disorders in mankind. Analysing further, wildlife is getting extinct due to technology. To run the test of samples prior to launch in market scientist uses animals and plants as a bait to ensure safety. As a consequence, the advancement in modern science is hazardous ecosystem. To exemplify, mice, rats and amphibians are used by scientist for 85% research.
In the light of above discussion it would be apt to say that developments has made the human life extremely smooth. It has improved the food quality by increasing the protein needs on the contrary the harm done to wildlife and natural habitat is non-negotiable.
