Band 5+: It is likely that advances in technology should reduce crime rates as they can help prevent and solve crimes? To what extent do you agree or disagree?

While introduction of advanced technology opens up many opportunities for government to solve many complex crime commitments and keep crime rates stable, I think these advancements also creates chances for criminals to violate rules without being tracked and noticed.

With the introduction of surveillance cameras, over the past fifteen years rate of wrongdoings declined dramatically and number of criminals decreased dramatically. In the past years, criminals could violate the rules without being noticed to anyone in the empty streets and never be punished for that. But with the introduction of cameras into technology industry, more and more people use them because its affordable price and safety it provides. Nowadays big metropolises equipped almost every corner of their streets with the surveillance cameras, and nobody even thinks about committing illegal act.

However, beginning of digital money era opened new ways to fraud people for lawbreakers. Launching digital money concept into daily life was very helpful, since it helps to avoid money loss and keep them with you without any fear of pickpockets. However, increase in the activity of people in the internet and way more online communication compared to the past helps lawbreakers to get the security codes from you and pass through the security procedures of the banking system. Also, one wrong file download can lead to the serious problems, like data leakage or in the worst case losing all the money in your bank accounts.

In conclusion, cutting-edge technologies positively affect the criminal activity rate. Despite though the new ways of law violations are discovered, government tries to fight back to them respectively.
