It is said that individuals should sometimes perform tasks that they do not love doing. I totally agree with this line of thought. This essay will provide reasonable arguments for my perspective and also present a contrary view that others might have in society.
To begin with, it is beneficial for people to do things that they do not enjoy much for several reasons. The first and foremost reason is that it is not necessary that all important tasks in life are enjoyable. Some things are essential for better future, such as maintaining health, but these things are boring for some individuals. For instance, a person might not like doing physical workouts, but they should perform that task because in order to remain healthy, exersice is vital.
Furthermore, performing boring activities enhances people’s will-power. Life is unpredictable, no one can expect that they will only do things that they truly love, so when individuals face difficulties and do things they do not like, they leave their comfortzones and push their boundaries. As a result, they can build descipline and will-power. Students have to study hard in their lives regardless of how demanding it is because by working hard they can build base for their better future.
On the other hand, one part of society might disagree with this statement since they believe people can only perform the best when they truly enjoy what they are doing. If a person enjoys what they are doing, they are more likely to put in more effort. Thus, it is not advisable for individuals to do activities they do not like because they cannot give their best outcomes.
In conclusion, although some may believe that people should always perform favourable things because they can perform better. I am of the opinion that sometimes they should do boring tasks as they might be necessary and improve their will-power.
