In this contemporary era, it is claimed that using robots instead of teachers for children’s education is beneficial. I strongly disagree whit the idea that this is a positive development and that the teachers should be replaced with robots.
There are several reasons why teachers should not be replaced with robots. Firstly, it is considerably expensive to design and engineer robots with the ability to teach students. Secondly, robots are not adopted to the different cultures and they will cause cultural interferences. Finally, robots are not able to evaluate individuals’ statues to encourage them for more progress.
I believe that the traditional teachers are more efficient in educating children than robots. It is much cheaper to train teachers, tutors and other professionals than it is to design high-tech devices or robotic scientists or engineers working on robots. Furthermore, whole population can benefit from traditional teachers and robotic teachers are only useful for wealthy societies. For instance, we all use schools and only a minor proportion of families can afford robotic teachers. If governments invest money on training professional teachers instead of spending money on engineering high-tech robots, many thousands of people can benefit from better education system and decrease the levels of illiteracy.
In conclusion, in my opinion using teachers which can benefit all members of society and students is better than replacing them with robots, and it is wrong to concentrate on robotic teachers.
