The tendency of the bigger malls replacing ordinary markets is getting spread quickly nowadays. It is, though, argued about pros and cons of this way of development, however, I reckon that its benefit mostly depends on multiple different details in the general economy of the whole region.
On the one hand, people witness this event and don’t oppose, since this market rearrangement brings more space for consumers to find the most relevant product and its varities. While building the larger shopping malls, companies allow people to buy what stands in their needs right on the spot, what gives them a higher flexibility in buying stuff. Moreover, malls can give access to other different activities in order to provide other smaller businesses, which fact will partly help to enhance overall purchases. However, the main point is, indeed, helping people manage their time and have everything on hand while walking in the building. For instance, with this ultimate source of products, people can freely buy mechanical details, groceries or anything else at one place, whereas in small shops there is only one primare product in stock. Consequently, all these advantages lead to simple conclusion that larger malls are in much more need than smaller ones.
On the other hand, small shops do have a significant purpose in the life of society. Most shops, for instance, play a crucial role for poor families that try to aid themselves to not dive into the poverty. Other shops, also, may have mostly a spirital, if not an economic worth for individuals and help people to find their specific spot of comfort. For instance, I personally do not prefer large malls and huge market places but choose to buy groceries from ordinary shops that are placed near my home. The main reason is that I try to support their business and help them to open more facilities in those exact places. Subsequently, it could be concerned as personal desire in place of any other reason.
In conclusion, even though larger malls can provide a proper flexibility for consumers, ordinary shops also do have a vital benefit in linking people and helping usual civilians to live. From my perspective, both places should be spread, despite the fact that malls include more practical advantage.
