In my opinion, It is important for everyone to learn English but learning the local language is not less important. Learning English at school is often seen more important than learning local language because we often need English for many reason these days, for education purpose or for communication with people at another country. English is also international languange that most of people in the world use this language to united each other from every different local language. Nowadays English language becomes very important that we have to be able to use, many requirements require English language skills, for example to apply for a job, to get into university and any other important reasons. Even though, it seems that learning English is more important but In my opinion It is both important, both learning English and learning the local language.
Learning local language is so important because it is a local culture that each region have each own unique local language. If we don’t learn local language these days and suppose that learning English is more important, then it doesn’t take long until the local language will disappear. We will lose our local language and our own unique culture and characteristic accent that make us different from one another.
We certainly have to protect the local language before it disappeared into time because many people have ignored it and don’t even care about it nowadays. We have to preserve the local language for being forgotten cause local language is not less important than English language.
