People strive to be success in their lives, and some believe it can be reached by hardwork. However, others think a successful life is affected by upbringing and background. In this essay, I will discuss both views and present my own opinion.
On one hand, people state that the way to become successful is through determination. Working hard to achieve a goal is essential to become a successful person. With determination, people can go through obstacles and rise again until they reach their goals. Even if someone come from a poverty background, they can become successful through hardwork. There are a lot of examples of people with unfortunate background that become successful in their life. People are familiar with Cristiano Ronaldo, a footballer, that become rich through a hardship. He was born into poverty and striving to become one of the finest footballers in the world.
On the other hand, some people believe a successful life is determined by someone’s upbringing. It is known that wealthy background plays a significant factor in someone successful life. For instance, Gibran Raka, vice president of Indonesia, achieves his current status through the impact of his father’s (previous President) popularity.
From my perspective, a successful life could be determined by someone’s background and upbringing. Nevertheless, this is a narrow and pessimistic perspective. Believing in upringing istead of hardwork could be dangerous and demotivating. I firmly encourage that people should always believe in hardwork and determination.
Both background and hard work play roles in a successful life. However, focusing solely on upbringing can be limiting and demotivating. I firmly believe that dedication and perseverance are key to achieving one’s goals.
