The majority of countries consider that tourism is a key factor to amend their economies along with the creation of job opportunities for local people while others think that it is a negative development due to the impact on the nature and local cultures. Although there are several drawbacks, like air pollution and commodification of cultures, I believe it is advantages, increasing job creation and revenue.
There are a couple of disadvantages of the flow of tourists. Firstly, the more the percentage of visits grows the more air quality worsen gradually since they overuse the transportation system and throw away garbages to the touristic destinations. Secondly, it is likely to undergo the deforestation and loss of habitats. The reason why natural beauty is always in-demand is that overflowing of travellers causes the damage of the forests, and habitats of wildlife. Finally, some sacred traditional places turn into the item of commodity. In fact, they are always appreciated more than others. For instance, famous people’s graves and place of pilgrimage.
However, in my point of view, the merits of tourism outweigh the downsides. Because this domain provides a great deal of occupations, including needs for guides, transportation and hospitality, local residents make a living more. Consequently, the state of living is improvedd considerably. Another additional positive is that revenue coming from The Gross Domestic Product increases significantly. They comprise of accommodation services, food item or may be souvenirs. Moreover, the authority where tourism is main income see the progress in the infrastructure. To be more clear, not only visitors consume local services but they also use all transporting system, consisting of airports and railways all over the country. It is obvious that it results in the amendment of the roads automatically.
To conclude, a high percentage of tourists is possible to bring some negatives that they influence the air quality cultural heritages and nature as well. Nevertheless, I side with the view that it is one of the influential sector to develop the economy of the country
