The phenomenon of released criminal returned back to their life of crime has become major concern. It poses a significant challenge to public safety. This essay will analyze the problem, discuss potential solution and present my point on the most effective solution.

One significant problem is that increasing poverty. Released criminals often face challenge finding stable house, employment. This lack of economy status can make it difficult to resist their criminal mind. Let’s take an example, people living in poverty cannot afford buying food, so in order to survive they often commit a crime, by stealing it from store or houses. Even if they caught by police and punished, they find it difficult to live life without committing crime. Moreover, many criminals have undiagnosed or untreated mental health problem, which further give rise to crime. This crime sometimes uncontrolled by thieves themselves.

One solution to this problem is the Education. Offering each person well education in prison, can equip individuals with skills they need to find employment. For instance, if the government offer a skill based educational program to each criminal according to their passion, they could get an employment after release and build stable lifestyle.

Another possible solution to this problem is that providing access to mental health treatment program in prison and outside the prison. This could help ex-convicts to manage their mental health and reduce the risk of reattempting. An illustration of this many governments has taken major steps in reducing criminal behavior by providing psychological treatment.

In conclusion, the issue of reattempting the crime after release require more attention and there are more solutions to consider. While it is difficult to complete wipe out of crime, by implementing effective mental health treatment, decreasing the poverty by offering educational program, underlying the social factors, we can create society where ex-convicts have opportunity to became responsible citizen.
