Band 4+: many elder people are no longer looked after by their families but are put in care homes or nursing homes. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the developing world, most of the elderly are believed to take care by their households no more but are put in caring home.Although there are benefits of leaving the elderly people in nursing home, there are some drawbacks because of some reasons. In my further paragraphs, advantages and disadvantages of caring home will be discussed.

On the one hand, there are some obvious advantages of old folks’ homes.First of all, safety and security of senior citizens are ensured by medical personnels. To clarify, they are provided round the clock access to trained medical professionals and medication management. As a result, doctors can help elderly people in order to reduce the risk of accidents and provide assistance in emergencies.Their health problems may arise if elderly residents do not receive prescribed medications and nutritious meals. Therefore, the existence of caring home in local areas is pivotal.

On the other hand, despite having benefits some primary negatives should also be considered.First and foremost, they can lead to feelings of disorientation and discomfort even though elderly residents are ensured to maintain a healthy diet there. To clarify, aged individuals are attributed to limit the freedom of choice an daily activities. As a consequence, thhey suffer from emotional strain and cause bad diseases.Considering that,it is not significant to put in the elderly in a nursing home.

In conclusion, neither its advantage nor disadvantage can be neglected. It is a mixed bag of positives in terms of round the clock supervision, and negatives such as restricting freedom and choice.
