Generally, governments in develop countries consider that the growth of macro-economy is the most essential purpose. Some argue that there is another key destination which has significantly impact to the nation regarding fairness economic system. I strongly believe that government should determine a long term target achievement such as economic equality which involved every layer of economic player, from bottom to top of the economic pyramid.
In terms of economic progress as the main goal, it is reflected in several advantages that make the economical environment more healthy. For instance, this growth may impact the opportunity of domestic and global direct investment, which has led to higher job creation for the citizens. While at the same time, it makes a higher-wages for both blue-white collar worker. Another beneficial is to open an equality of entrepreneurship that people could get an easier access on it. These three reasons are a surface of the positive affect that could seen directly, but indirectly there was an issue that makes another option to be choose as a crucial goal.
However, I would argue that some people in the fundamentals of the economic pyramid did not play an important role in the negative impact of economic progress officially. The bottom of the pyramid is the people who work in small-medium enterprises. They are usually forgotten by the authorities and not involved. It means that economic growth is about the average rate of a subject in an economical area that becomes better but sometimes practically not equal. This disparity indicates that while overall economic growth may show improvement, it does not necessarily translate into equal benefits for all. To illustrate, consider an average calculated from the sums of two and eight resulting in ten, which implies an equality of five. In this analogy, the figure of two represents those at the bottom of the pyramid, while the figure of eight represents those at the top.
In conclusion, governments should focus on another variable of economic growth, like the contribution of the small-medium enterprises which impact more equality in term of economic growth.
