Many museums and historical sites are major tourist attractions but do not attract many indigenous people. In the essay, I will explain why this happens and take measures to solve this problem.
Firstly, a museum is a tourists attraction that aims to educate foreigners about local history, tourists often have a special interest in the culture and history of the locality they visit. On the contrary, indigeous people are often aware of their own history and pass it on to their descendants through media. This often leads them to believe that they are wasting their time and money and that there is nothing new or exating due to long-standing familiarity.
Secondly, tourists have different understanding and interest, they are always curious to learn about local culture while indigeous people are not fully aware of the historical and cultural value of this place, this learning people unmotivated to visit, it is possible that this is a common experience whose familiarity has brought about a sense of indiffrence and lack of interest among local people.
To entice local people to visit historical museums, we should first focus on raising the interest of the younger generation of local people, organize educational programs and encourage schools to learn to visit museums to increase participation and support for cultural and educational activities. In addition, it is necessary to improve the sightseeing experience by updating and innovating demonstration or information means to make sightseeing more interesting and attractive.
In conclusion, focusing on attracting local youth by improving some of the disadvantages as mentioned above will certainly change their perspective towards historical sites and hopefully this will became a destination for them intergal to the local community rather than just a tourist destination.
