In this day and age, the icreadible increase in committing crimes led to plenty of people are scared of leaving home. Some people argue that actions should be taken to limited the high crime rate while others believe that handling with this situation is impossible. Both viewpoints are valid, but I lean to the former.
On the one hand, some people strongly believe that there are several solutions to ensure the safety outside their home. Firstly, goverments should punished heavily for those who intentionally committed crimes, which is not only fine them but also imprision for years due to the severity. Individuals commit felony like murder should be strictly punished such as life imprisionment or even death penalty. In result, people who have illegal plans can know how serious the consequences are. Moreover, some people recommit the crimes due to jobless which they have to afford their living requirements. At this point, prison not only should have some moral lessons for prisoners to rasie their awareness at being a helpful citizens, but also career lessons to open their horizon of skills and experience, which helps them to reintergrate into the society. Lastly, schools should have more and more moral lessons, emphasizing in sympathy and empathy, which contributes to students’ generousity not to injure others. So education plays an crucial role in preventing the high crime rate. In contrast, in the past, a large number of children were poor educated, leading to plenty social issues such as bag pocking, snatching,etc.
On the other hand, people believe that the situation can’t be handled, although, some actions has been taken. For instance, newspapers informed many negative stories about violence attacks or murders, which still make people confused about their safety. Another belief that crimes which comes from plenty different type of social issues are too tough too tackle with some limited solutions, especially when it comes to the gap between rich and poor.
In conclusion, from my perspective crimes can’t completely eleminated. However, the prevention can be achieved regarding the solutions above. Governments and schools have to be in charge of bulding a secure society.
