It is believed that college is the best route to success, while many people think there are many ways to succeed apart from college. I totally agree with the former point for many reasons.
By choosing to study at the university, people will easily join the labour market in the future. At college, students will be trained and learn the domain knowledge of their future profession; they intern at many companies, which teach them the necessary skills at work. For instance, through group projects and internships, students can improve their teamwork skills and critical thinking, and expand their experiences from failures. A person with formal qualifications from a college or university, soft skills, and extensive knowledge will be more appreciated by employers than others who don’t have them, so those go on paths of college education can find a job more easily and come close to success.
Another reason is that university graduates have access to a wider range of high-quality job opportunities and higher salaries. Normally, highly paid jobs require high-quality laborers who are trained methodically at university and have specific qualifications. Doctor or lawyer positions, for example, are careers that call for applicants to have professional qualifications such as the medical practice certificate or the lawyer practising certificate, which people can only receive by studying those fields at a university. As a result, while the absence of academic credentials may hinder a young person’s career trajectory, university graduates have access to a wider range of high-quality job opportunities and higher salaries.
In conclusion, due to aforementioned reasons, I believe that pursuing further education is a better choice for people to ensure a well-paid job and career trajectory opportunity for the future, which is the nearest way to success that they should follow.
