The topic is very controversial because the violence is a huge social problem. Therefore society faces serious consequences and a lot of people suffer from different types of violence because the government and the law don’t control the problem well. In my opinion, the high level of violence is not caused by watching the films and TV. However, such movies and programmes can increase this factor.
First of all, the most assailable part of society is children. The youngest frequently tend to reproduce what they see in video games or movies. They are usually unable to differentiate what is real from what is not. For example, for someone that almost every day is used to listening to gunshots, screams and other aggressive noises, they unconsciously start addressing others the same way. Instead of developing the same aggression, while watching terror or war scenes, children should watch videos that will improve their social skills and keep calm.
Second, watching aggressive films or programmes can be harmful also for adults. Some explorers consider that after spending hours in a parallel reality, people normally have fewer brain functions than before. For instance, if someone spends all day seated in front of a screen he is in a passive condition. Speaking or thinking functions are now influenced by what he just saw. I suppose people should more attentively choose what they watch and control the content.
To summarize, violence is a real problem and it could be reduced if movies had more control. Equally, parents should be more aware of how their kids spend their time and create space for more outdoor activities and team sports.
