Every Decade we can observe rapid development of the urban areas and along with it’s population density which again is directly proportional to the increase in heavy traffic and makes the place almost impossible to live. Such cities are not used to see such a explosive amount of traffic and isn’t equipped to handle them . Even with a more advanced town planning these heavy traffics are inevitable and creates a lot of pollution. Let’s take two Indian Cities known for it’s increasing amount of traffic and pollution New Delhi the capital city and Bangalore the silicon valley of India.
Bangalore is known for it’s dense traffic and people spending most of their time of the days in traffic and is continuously criticized for their for poor planning in handling the working population in the city. New Tech Companies are on look for an alternative city to cater the employees and move their locations to cities like Chennai. Quick measures needed to be taken to growing population for a beautiful cities like Bangalore.
Another city which is known for it’s historical importance us infamously known for it’s pollution due to various reasons, and one among them is the pollution from vehicles. Delhi’s pollution forms a dense fog of smoke making it harder to navigate via road especially during the winter, again making harder to live in urban cities and people are more susceptible to get health problems.
Looking at these two cases we could clearly see the demerits of living in such cities, to solve and prevent further incidents these two cities have started to implement various solution like where Bangalore implementing a better town planning and constructing more fly overs to divert and divide the incoming traffic. Also Delhi with their odd even rule where on a particular day only the odd/even registered plate number are allowed. These kind of acts are essential in improving the lives of people.
