Nowadays, there are a lot of ready-made foods options available in the supermarkets and grocery shops. Many reasons can explain this but also it is important to consider the advantages and disadvantages. In this essay, I will explore both sides of the argument and explain my support for the latter view.
To begin with, it is undeniable that ready-made foods can simplify our lives and save our time. Furthermore, it could be extremely convenient when we do not have enough time due to our jobs or responsibilities and we finish most of our days feeling tired. To illustrate, someone who has a family with little kids, and arrive at their home after a long working day, can see an advantage in buying food for dinner rather than cook something.
However, there are many disadvantages to consider before choosing the food that we eat daily. When it comes to take care of our health, we need to be conscious of the fact that certain foods could be less healthy than others when they are not cook properly. Moreover, for some people, cooking their food is a serious matter and non-negotiable. For instance, those who suffer food allergies or celiac disease and must follow a strict diet, tend to pay much more attention in everything they decide to eat.
In conclusion, ready-made food has many advantages that may simplify our lives. However, we must be conscious that the disadvantages also exist. In my opinion, buying ready-made food could never be better or healthier than planning and cooking our food and it is only a matter of deciding our priorities.
