A lot of individuals prefer moving abroad to learn a new language over studying it in their own town. The advantages of this are interacting with locals and understanding how they communicate with each other using their own language. However, it can cost a significant amount of money to go abroad and it takes time to adjust to a new environment.
One benefit of moving abroad is the interaction with locals, which helps a person understand the language. This will help them understand daily conversations and learn useful expressions. For example, as an Afghan national, I moved to Pakistan and within few months i started speaking with Pakistani people fluently. Moreover, moving abroad and speaking with them helps us understand how they use their language to communicate and also learn about their dialect and culture .This illustrates that traveling overseas can help an individual learn a foreign language faster.
On the other hand, traveling overseas might be expensive. Housing can be costly and a person might not be able to afford daily expenses comfortably. For example, a person moving from Pakistan to England needs to spend a lot of money to travel there and prices might be significantly higher in the United Kingdom. Also, an individual might need a lot of time to adjust to the new environment, start interacting with people and find new friends. This clearly shows the impacts and drawbacks of traveling abroad.
