Nowadays, many men and women are not planning to get married until they turn 30. I believe that overall this is a positive development because it provides financial stability and personal maturity, although there are some disadvantages to this trend, such as health risks for older mothers.
Firstly, there are major benefits to delaying family life. People in their twenties are just starting their careers, earning lower salaries and trying to find the right path. However, in their thirties, they are usually more financially secure. For example, by waiting a decade, they have saved more money and may have bought a home, which means they can give their children a more secure and comfortable life.
Secondly, older parents are emotionally mature. They have had more time in society, travelled, and gained life wisdom, which makes them more patient and better prepared for the responsibilities of parenting. For example, people will have learned in their twenties about how to take care of small children and convince them to develop good habits, which will be an added advantage when they have their children in their thirties. However, waiting longer to start a family can bring some problems. The main concern is related to health and pregnancy. As women get older, it becomes more difficult to get pregnant due to higher risks of health complications that come with age. For example, medical research shows that pregnancies after the age of thirty-five can be more complicated compared to those in a woman’s twenties.
In conclusion, while starting a family later in life has some disadvantages, I think the positive side is stronger than the negative. Financial security and emotional maturity make adults better equipped to handle marriage and raise children. Also, it is recommended to have children in the early thirties to reduce the negative impact of getting pregnant.
