In today’s world, residents contribute significantly to the number of waste worldwide, leading to concerns among many individuals. In this essay, I will examine possible issues related to that trend as well as the measures that can taken in both the short and the long term.
To begin with, it is obvious that the increased number of waste has caused air contamination because they go through burning process, which emits toxic fumes. Moreover, since households produce the large quantities of litter without throwing them into correct bins, the separation process takes so much funds and effort in disposal centers. For example, statistics indicate that in Azerbaijan, waste incorrectly separated by residents has caused 10 million dollars deduction in the budget.
There can be a lot of solutions to address this issues stemming from ordinary people. In terms of short time, introducing new rules and laws, such as fines and taxes, by governments may play deterrent role from wasting too much, with the incentive to reuse, recycle, and reduce. As far as long term is concerned, I believe that education is the best method to encourage people, especially younger ones, to decrease waste. Furthermore, governments can hold different campaigns to increase an awareness of ecology problems, such as soul and water pollution.
In conclusion, waste produced by households have a detrimental impact on ecology, causing air pollution and money issues in the most nations’ budget as well. However, in my opinion, implementing novel laws and various education campaigns about environmentally friendly lifestyles is likely to motivate individuals to pay attention to their waste.
