First of all, the merit of this proposal is control students use smartphone to serve purposes other than for learning. They can totally playing video game, chatting that teacher can not see. This may make the quality of teaching has decreased and students will lose basic knowledges. Moreover, if was allowed to use smartphone in classroom, students will use it to look for informations on the internet. They are going to depend on technology equipments and impair think ability. This problem not just impact on global education system, it affects to students future.
By contrast, this way still exists some issues. A problem that no one think about is student may feel lose their freedom. Smartphone is privacy device and the owner may not allow to anyone take it. In addition, teachers can use smartphone as a useful device to tranmission knowledge to students through of some teaching apps. Students can use their phone and click on the link that teacher sent and go to a website where the games are ready. For instant, students will go to the app name “Kahoot”, answer the questions and the system is going to mark to choose the best player. This way can increase teaching quality and make students interest in learning.
In conclusion, we can say that use mobilephone in classroom have both advantages and disadvantages. I personally think smartphone and all the electronic devices without use for teaching should be forbidden in classroom, even in school.
