People often argue that several species of medicinal plants and animals extinct from the earth and its consequences such as imbalance in biodiversity and pollution, humans are facing. However, this problem can be mitigated by the strict laws and proper conservation of species.
Firstly, there is no doubt that because of the Urban sprawl, many species of plants and animals are no more on the earth. And, because of this food chains system has become disbalanced. Moreover, it is causing of both water and air pollution. For example, Vulture has become somehow disappeared from the earth, which used to eat dead animals or carcasses and now people throw them in river or left at open space which causing both air and water pollution increasing. same applicable for medicational plants, if I take an example of India, those were found mostly in the Himalaya regions extincted because of humans’ encroachment.
Though, this can be curbed through the implementation of strict laws against the illegal hunting and deforestation for building new colonies or any commercial usages. In addition, Government should conserve animals those are in endangered list or they are about to. For instance, In India, there is a tiger reserve park in the sunder ban, west Bengal, where tigers’ populations have increased at satisfactory level because of the strict judiciary against the illegal hunting and space was provided for tigers to breed and roam freely in a natural environment.
In conclusion, every species has privilege to live on the earth because they are part of ecosystem and their extinction from this planet would affect humans as well as other species too. Hence, government has to take care of them through proper laws and systems.
