negative consequences for individuals. Some proponents assert that such offenses are more often committed by poor people compared to the wealthy class. I partially agree with this statement because I personally believe that people involved in these crimes come from both classes.
To start with, employment is one of the biggest factors that persuades lower-class people to commit heinous crimes. A lack of monetary support or sufficient money for livelihood exacerbates the situation, encouraging them to violate the rules and regulations of society. Furthermore, education is another factor. People from poor family backgrounds are less educated due to limited access to schools and other learning institutes. School is one of the major periods for juveniles, during which they acquire knowledge about the rules and laws of the nation. This is necessary for personal growth because it teaches how transgressions promote adverse repercussions to the society.
Moving further, affluent individuals also commit misdemeanors, impacting others negatively. This is mainly due to a lack of supervision from parents. Parents often provide their children with all resources to maximize their comfort, which results in irresponsible behavior. For example, in Mumbai, the rate of road accidents peaked in 2012 due to careless driving, with most drivers being under 18 years old and representing wealthy groups in the city. Moreover, in some cases, rich people commit crimes or engage in illegal activities to maintain their social status. This may be due to personal desires, a sense of satisfaction, or the pressure to uphold a certain image or lifestyle.
To summarize, this issue can be addressed by taking some steps. The government should take the initiative to provide compensation to lower-class people for better education opportunities, whereas the elite class should restrict the effortless accessibility of resources until they are deserved.Lastly, Incarceration should be strictly followed by the officials to halt the situation.
