There is an ongoing debate about how unlawful acts reported in the media. Although, some individuals consider those coverages terrifying and aspiring for criminals, others assume it can raise awareness on people, which can result in less crime rates in the future.

To begin with, one major reason why i believe media coverage of crime could be dangerous is that it can inspire people, especially youngsters to commit unlawful actions. Nowadays, it is impossible for civilization to not influence from media, particularly when it comes to adolescents it is inevitable. Since, some digital platforms demonstrate criminals as impressive humans, young people can find them appealing and envy them which can lead them to commit criminal actions. Besides that, occasionally newspapers or media can publish those news exagerated or graphical. Thus, sensitive individuals could feel frightend to go out and attend activities.

On the other hand, it could be a really efficient solution in order to reduce crime rates. As, the public use the social platforms daily to gather information, it is the most accessible way to view everything unfiltered. We can witness this in most cases. For example, in 2018 a murder commitment occured in Venezuela. Since, the perpetrator were a wealthy and renowned person, his actions counted as nothing. However, the victim’s family never gave up on their child’s murder case and they did their best to find justice for their son. By sharing all the evidence and records on the platforms, they managed to incarcerebate the murderer. Their sharings on internet contributed them to achieve justice.

In conclusion, even though, wrong utilazation of media can contribute to excaserbation, it has a significant effect on us. With the assistance of internet and making the most of media it is a really beneficial option for humanity.
