Nowadays, the distance learning has been implemented by various universities, which is possible to be followed by some learners from all over the world. Despite of this positive view, there will be more negative impacts towards the learners,especially that is related to the process of learning.
Considering the response on the class assignment, it is difficult to get quick feedback from tutor due to the limited time and the number of course works that need to be reviewed. In addition, learners need to wait some time before tutor can answer to their question. Furthermore, the learning process will be inhibited because the learners have not enough opportunity to meet and discuss with their classmates. For example, when learner find trouble to study, they can not get some help from friends. However, tutor can deliver the materials through the email hence the learners can review it outside of the class. Nevertheless, the other problems are raised, namely the insufficient understanding or irrelevant examples of the topic. The unmotivated learners are not suitable for study with distance learning system in order to the low interaction with their surroundings.
By those reasons, I confirm that distance learning has more drawbacks than advantages. In addition, only learners who are highly motivated and self disciplined can success to study with this type of learning model.
