These days people are shifting to urban area looking for better living despite living in urban area is more challenging than rural area. This essay will discuss the main problems associated with this epidemic and propose some possible solutions to avoid them.
The main challenges of living in cities are higher living cost, traffic congestion and crime. Living in city is more expensive because in city there are higher opportunities for residents to work, more educational institutions around for education, better healthcare services than rural areas and so on. Traffic congestion is the most common problem in maximum cities. This is because, in city there are fewer roads compared to number of vehicles. For instance, most of the people in cities own a car for better transportation and utilization of time. Because of higher crime rate, despite all facilities life in cities could be risky too. For instance, in cities there are homeless persons, when they failed to make their daily necessities like food, clothes, healthcare, they often involve with crime.
To my way of thinking, best solutions to these problems are only one step away, taking proper steps on these problems by the government. Firstly, government needs to make more work opportunities for people living in cities so that they can work and bear the expense of living. Secondly, building more roads and upgrade the traffic system might help to reduce traffic congestion in cities. Moreover, to deal with higher crime ratio, making strict laws against crimes and advertising them in publicly and in television will be the best possible option by a government to reduce crime rate.
In conclusion, living in cities can be challenging because of higher living cost, traffic congestion and higher crime ratio. To deal with these problems government needs to take a step forward by taking proper steps to make urban life better for everyone.
