In this modern society, external films have become more popular in our society. It is widely believed that the domestic film industry should receive more attention from the authorities to develop. In this essay, I am partly in favor of this statement.
There is a main reason why I think that the encouragement from the authorities is necessary not only for the thriving of the local film industry but also the approach for quite a range of youngsters to history in their countries. Therefore, it is a good way to educate and preserve culture for people when they watch local movies. Taking Vietnam’s film named “Dao, Pho, Piano” has premiered recently as an example, which was investigated by the government, it gained extremely engagement from not only the old but also the younger due to the historical appeal. Thus, when people support domestic movies, they can also gain a great deal of knowledge apart from the entertainment.
Despite the given statement, each person still has their own type of films that they are going to, and watching external movies can also help them to improve learning other languages. Moreover, from a variety of research, more and more people nowadays tend to choose watching English movies to learn vocabulary and practice listening skills which can be considered an effective way to learn a new language passively. As a result, this trend still brings a huge attraction in order to watch movies from local citizens.
Taking everything into consideration, it is clear that choosing movies to watch depends on the hobbies of the individual. From my perspective, I think that governments ought to maintain their financial support for the arts in their own countries.
