Band 4+: More and more wild animals are on the verge of extinction and others are on the endangered list. What are the reasons for this? What can be done to solve this problem? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In the past it is common to find wild animals wandering around it’s natural habitat. Although, nowadays it is difficult to come across a wild animals since most of them are moving closer to the edge of extinction while others were added to the endangered list. I would like to point out a few major reasons why this has happened and proposed some feasible solutions in the end.

There are two primary reason that caused this event. First is climate change, study suggest that climate change can caused serious impact not only to human but to animal as well. It can result in increasing globe temperature and this has raise lots of concerns towards wild life that live in polar. Research study from all over the world shows the same statistic result of melting iceberg in the north and south pole while this can be interpreted that the polar animal such as polar bear and penguins are losing it’s own habitat. Another significant reason is hunting, hunting animals to it’s extinction had happened various time in the past, the famous example is the dodo bird that were hunt to extinction after 20 years of discovered. Not only that but a majority of people believe owning animal part can represent their wealth for example deer or antelope antler. This result in illegal hunting wild life in their habitat.

While this problem might seem difficult to solve in an instant but it is still possible to reduce the extinction rate. Raising global temperature which were caused by climate change subsided by planting as much tree as possible, this the most common solution from all research paper because tree absorb carbon, carbon work similar to thin sheet that block the hot temperature from leaving the globe so the earth temperature keep raising. Another solution is to restrict entry from natural habitat, this can help nature heal itself without human interruption.

In addition, it is might be difficult to preserve the animals but if we do not take action it is almost impossible for animal to survived by themselves. Animals are gone easily and once they were gone, they will be gone forever.
