The vast majority of people are not paying attention in the way their food has been made. They only notice about how much money they have to spend for the food. I believe that this argument is correct for some reasons, and the health issue determines consumers’ attitude on buying foods.
As regards people’s preference, the price of food is the one that attracts the most attention. This is because people are highly likely to allocate their spending accurately so they can survive for certain periods of time before receiving another revenue. In the face of rising cost of living, people need to match their outcome with their income in order to ensure they will not create financial imbalance. That is why the price tag on every food stock that is available in the marketplace plays a huge important role in terms of considering which kind of food they will buy. Furthermore, although the way food has been made is important, people tend to put less concern on it. Arguably, the reason is that they are easily distracted by cheaper costs and food appearance before trusting that it is safe to be consumed.
In the case of a factor that influence people on buying food, I am sure that the health reason is the ultimate one. There is an underlying assumption that our healthy lifestyle is determined by our food intake. The better quality of food we consume, the healthier we become. For instance, people with diabetes will avoid excessive sugar intake, and those who suffer for hypertension will reduce salt and meat consumption. Thus, health factor influences the individuals to consider which kind of food that they want to purchase.
As far as I am concerned, people prioritize price tag on buying food despite the process of food production. Additionally, health issue highly affects people on purchasing various kinds of foods.
