Over time, a wide range of food products has become available in shops and there are plenty of ways that it can be produced, packaged, and sold. As a result, there are many different attitudes towards food, and not everyone makes the same decisions when shopping.
In current society with the outstanding development of technology, most people prioritize convenience. For instance, if you have a busy schedule or you are exhausted after the end of work or study time, you just need to order food in food delivery apps and stay at home while you lay in bed or shower in waiting time. It is the common lifestyle of teenagers and single individuals to avoid crowded restaurants or food courts and save time to optimize a full day.
Another factor affecting choice is the price of food products. As an illustration, after entering university, I moved to Hanoi the capital of Vietnam, I observed that the checkout counter in malls or supermarkets after 9:00 pm is always full of lines because the food used in the day discounts up to 50 percent depending on the item. Therefore, incentives or vouchers are the best way to lure customers and promote the sale volume of items, especially to change the shopping habits of consumers.
In conclusion, it seems that cost is only one of several factors that people take into consideration when they purchase food. In the future, the prediction of technological advancement will create a robot that affects our choices when shopping.
