Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the advancement of the corporate world has been happening worldwide. At the same time, international companies are massively expanding in developing countries. In this essay, I will take a closer look at the aforementioned key advantages and key disadvantages.

The growth of multinational corporations in developing nations is expected to bring some advancement, which provides merits that can be profitable to numerous parties involved. Firstly, the country itself will be able to participate in the universal economic operation. Not only to build a bridge of commercial activities with each country but, also as an opportunity to ameliorate the relationship. Consequently, it helps to mitigate conflicts or problems between countries. Secondly, the existence of multinational corporations can also lift the country’s prosperity. For instance, the rates of employment increase as more job opportunities become available, and the frequency of domestic marketing could be raised.

Despite the benefits, the presence of multinational companies in developing countries has several drawbacks. Firstly, they often exploit local employees by offering low wages and poor working conditions, which do not significantly improve the workers’ standard of living. Secondly, multinational companies can overshadow and outcompete local businesses, leading to the decline of local entrepreneurship and making the economy overly dependent on foreign firms. Lastly, these companies can contribute to environmental degradation by overusing natural resources and causing pollution, which harms both the environment and public health.

In conclusion, multinational companies can help developing countries by creating jobs and boosting the economy, but they also have downsides like exploiting workers and harming the environment. It is important for these countries to manage these companies carefully to avoid negative effects.
