I completely agree the idea of music being an universal language, for its written system can be easily understood internationally, and also that I believe the atmosphere it creates can influence every individuals in spite of our differences.

No matter it is pop music, classical music, rap music or traditional music in different regions, all of them could be recorded by the same system of signs and notes for others to recreate them. This universal sign system in music makes it easy to be understood despite the barriers in languages, which contribute to music being the universal language of mankind.
Another reason of music being the universal language is that music creates an atmosphere which has an emotional impact on everyone who listen to it. Though it is common knowledge that aesthetic differs across individuals, the tone and message that music expresses cannot be mistaken. For instance, one can never mistaken a sad song as a joyful tone, for the atmosphere that music creates inflicts the same feeling deep down in everyone’s heart.
