Today people are using the things and throwing or replacing them with the latest models or latest fashion. While some people argue that this trend offers certain economic advantages, I contend that its environmental and social costs outweigh these benefits.
On the other hand, there are some benefits to spending large amounts of money on fashionable clothes. One of which is the stimulation of economic growth. The constant demand for new products helps to create jobs in manufacturing and retail. For instance, many big brands in the world, such as Chanel and Dior have expanded their fashion business worldwide, creating employment opportunities in many areas. As a result, people earn more money and spend this on other goods and services, which helps the economy become more vibrant.
However, the above-mentioned advantages are not as significant as the demerits. Firstly, it can have a serious impact on the environment. Large numbers of fast clothing items can lead to more waste, as people often throw away clothes after wearing them for a short period of time. As a result, this not only increases the amount of waste sent to landfills and contributes to soil and water pollution, but also causes long-term damage to the economy. Another limitation is the rise in production costs . When millions of tonnes of clothes are thrown away every year, leading to higher waste disposal costs and putting pressure on the local government.
In conclusion, I believe that people need to use long-term clothes to protect the environment and reduce disposal costs. While the throwaway society brings certain economic advantages, these are overshadowed by significant environmental and social consequences.
