In contemporary society, there is a noticeable development in negative social conduct among young individuals, coupled with a significant decline in their regard for others. In my point of view, the primary factor contributing to this issue is the lack of guidance and involvement in shaping children’s behavior by their parents. As a potential solution, I propose increasing awareness about the significance of respect.
To begin with, the increase of folks breaking the law and attacking innocent communities in society stems from the economic crisis, resulting in a large amount of unemployment for normal families. In other words, the misbehaviour can be regarded as a way of showing anger for a society suffering from financial pressure that may otherwise have no way to raise attention. In addition, the saturation of violence in both movies and online videos may amplify the criminal tendencies of some potential offenders. For example, the Internet has been treated as a channel to spread violence to adolescents around the world by some political activists.
In addressing this pressing issue, I recommend integrating a new educational component into the formal curriculum of schools and universities. The government should allocate resources to enlist highly skilled professionals who can educate students on the importance of good manners and respectful behavior. Through the enforcement of such measures, individuals from a young age can learn the appropriate ways to conduct themselves in public, fostering a deep understanding of acceptable societal norms. I firmly believe that such initiatives are imperative, especially given the negligent attitude of some parents toward cultivating respectful behavior in their children.
In conclusion, the prevailing trend of disrespectful behavior and disregard for others can be chiefly attributed to the lack of parental guidance during formative years. As a viable remedy, I advocate for the introduction of a dedicated educational module aimed at instilling values of respect in students within academic institutions.
