The vast majority of the population of the world is using artificial intelligence on a daily basis. The primary reason for this is that it automates routine tasks and allows us to access information at the click of a button. In my perspective, although it has some disadvantages, they cannot overshadow its life-changing advantages.
The popularity and the usage of AI tools has increased significantly over the last decade. Nowadays many people consider them as an indispensable tool. This is mainly because artificial intelligence tools save our time on tasks that require creativity and critical thinking. For example, many people use it for their presentations, designs, lessons, and planning, while saving their time, as doing them without AI tools require too much effort and creativeness. Another reason is that they make accessing information very easy and fast. For example, previously, without AI tools, people had to search for information on their own, thereby wasting hours for looking through every link until they found needed information. With respect to whether the development of artificial intelligence is beneficial or harmful, its advantages clearly outweigh the disadvantages. Artificial intelligence has completely revolutionized the way we work and study. It helps employees to manage their time more effectively and students to improve their academic performances. For example, students can quickly understand the demanding concept after the lesson using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini, whereas workers of different fields can use it to store and manage data easily, make presentations, create recources by self-written prompts, managing its accuracy and appropriation, search for new ideas and eliminate human error. Another major benefit is that artificial intelligence creates new jobs and decrease an unemployment rate. However, critics argue that it has considerable drawbacks alongside with positive aspects. Nowadays, some individuals are afraid that artificial intelligence will make some professions obsolete in the near future. One example for this concern is teachers, whose role is becoming less important, as students find studying with AI more convenient and efficient. In my opinion, such fears are completely unsubstantiated as the role of teachers and real-life classrooms is irreplaceable.
In conclusion, the reason why AI became popular so quickly is its usefullness and ability of decreasing human effort. Although some poeple find this improvement harmful, its minor disadvantages should not eclipse its considerable positive sides.
