AI-driven cars are being used in today’s modern world. This is due to the significant improvement in the joint field of artificial intelligence and autonomous engineering. From my perspective, this development is positive since it is safer for people to use vehicles that are intelligent themselves.
Artificial intelligence and autonomous engineering are developing amazingly fast in these recent decades. With more and more deep learning algorithms invented and a huge amount of data collected and used in the training process, machines now have the ability to self-study routes and recognise obstacles accurately. Auto engineers then apply those machines into cars, making them as intelligent as human drivers. For example, compared to lower generation self-driven vehicles which can only execute on straight paths, Tesla new cars can carry people everywhere they want.
With this development, people’s travelling journeys are improved in safety. As a matter of fact, humans have emotions, and are easily distracted. Therefore, when an individual drives the car himself, the situation in which he is in a hurry and drives carelessly, then causes an accident is not uncommon. Meanwhile, AI follows all the safety policies and avoids obstacles on the streets more accurately. For instance, many traffic accidents were caused because people used their phones while driving; instead, if they had used AI-driven cars, they would have travelled safely despite using phones or other devices.
In conclusion, cars are now able to self-drive as a result of AI and autonomous engineering rapid and important improvements. In my opinion, these developments should be welcomed since they help people to travel more safely.
