In todays era, celebrities are often earning more money rather than politicans. This is because of the growing popularity of social media where celebrities would be treated as higher status and whereas politicans would mostly be overlooked. This would be a negative development for us as a society and this essay will be further explaining my reasonings.
Social media has become a global trend these past few decades. Almost everybody ranging from children to adults has or had a social media installed on their phones. This makes celebrities more popular around those who have social media because mostly social media is used for entertainment purposes and thats where celebrities thrive in. And because of this, major companies would find help from known celebrities to promote their products or services to their audience to further boost their sales and because its a known celebrity, they would pay high amounts of money because they know the celebrity will promote the product to a wider range of audience for them.
On the other hand, politicans do not earn more money than celebrities because they are less known to the younger audiences like teenagers and young adults. Although politicans work for the country to further improve its country, young people would consider their jobs boring and not entertaining therefore not sheding light into their work. While celebrities would be thriving and getting major brand deals, politicians would be overlooked by the masses and would earn less money than celebrities.
This can be detrimental for society development because more people are praising the celebrities who are entertaining them but not beneficial to them in any way rather than politicians who work hard to further improve the countrys development. The solution to this problem can be to limit the praise of celebrities and their pays and to fund more into the political side like politicians to further improve ones country to be come better
In conlusion, politicians should be getting more praise than celebrities because they contribute to the growing impact of the country rather than celebrities who are just entertaining the masses and have no benefit to society.
