Nowadays, it is believed that the position of women in society has changed rapidly in the last 20 years. Many of the problems young people now suffer, like juvenile delinquency, arise from the fact that many married women now work and are not at home to care for their children. In this essay, I will examine the view and give my own opinion.
To begin with, prehistoric women were truly housewives – looking after their children and doing chores. They used to be treated unfairly by feudalism. The Industrial Revolution marked a revolutionary change in the role of ladies in society. Women now can work, earn money, …. As a result, they do not have time to take care of their family and their teens are not educated well. Nevertheless, this leads to another loveless family – which creates countless gangsters. For instance, many “bad guys” originate from a divorced, unhappy or poor family circumstance.
In contrast, the personality of a person contributes to what they have experienced. So juvenile delinquency is not 100% their responsibility. Furthermore, gender equality is now the “modern” trend in the evolution of human history. So we can conclude that both sexes have to share the responsibility for juvenile delinquency. Last but not least, in the ever-evolving world, parents cannot fully control their kids. Take the privacy policy as an example, parents cannot access their teenagers’ devices, which contain dangerous content like terrorism, ….
In conclusion, I would say that the position of women in society has gradually changed remarkably in the past 20 years and young people’s juvenile delinquency is not the responsibility of married women.
