It is irrefutable that malls play an essential role in modern life. On that note, supermarkets and shopping malls have gained much more popularity than small businesses. In my opinion, the negative aspects of this situation are outweighed by the positives.
There are many reasons that justify my opinion. To begin with, supermarkets and malls offer a wide variety of products under one roof, allowing people to purchase many different items in one place. For example, in my city, there are several malls, such as Reliance and D-Mart,where people can buy vegetables, shoes, watches, clothes, and much more. Secondly, these stores often provide cheaper prices, as they buy items in bulk directly from manufacturers, allowing them to offer goods at a lower cost than small businesses.
Furthermore, shopping at large malls saves people time. In other words, shoppers do not need to travel from one location to another to find their favorite items; everything can be found in a single place, and customers do not have to wait for salespeople to assist them.
Additionally, large shopping malls create employment due to the numerous stores requiring salespeople and employees. For example, in my city, there are various job positions available, such as unpacking and billing.
To conclude, even though large shopping centers and malls contribute to pollution, I still believe they provide a wide variety of products under one roof, save time, offer cheaper prices, and create job opportunities.
