In the fast paced world, more and more people have opted for unhealthy meals, leading to poor eating habits and a failure to eat a balanced diet. In this essay, I would evaluate the reasons behind this tendency before proposing some solutions that tackle it.
There are some reasons that explain why many individuals have formed poor eating patterns. First and foremost, nowadays some people have little time to eat dinner because of their busy schedules. Therefore, they choose to eat a quick snack instead of home-cooked meals especially takeaway food to eat at home or somewhere else. As a result, this would immediately affect their eating habits, developing some health problems such as obesity. Furthermore, a lack of cooking skills is an important factor which requires some preparation before preparing meal. Thus, many people opt for processed food such as hamburgers when they need to make meals. Consequently, if they continue to do it constantly, they would acquire poor eating habits. For instance, many Korean statistics show a rise in fast food consumption among young office workers
On the other hand, there are a number of steps that could be taken to solve it including long term solutions. First of all, government should take the responsibility by implementing the higher costs of processed meals, thereby allowing people to choose healthy food. Moreover, people who want to develop healthy eating habits should create a personalised meal plan for their own sake. As a consequence, they become more aware of what they make or what type of meals they should prepare in advance. Thus, those steps are more crucial for both the government and citizens.
In conclusion, by adopting poor eating patterns, many individuals are not eating a balanced diet because of their busy schedules and a lack of cooking skills. In order to handle this, the government ought to impose on processed food and people should be responsible for creating their own eating plans
