In today’s technological era, computers can be used by most people, including the number of children who play computer games. Although playing excessively on the computer causes to health issues, there might be possible solutions for them to reduce harmful effects.

When children play too much on computers, some health issues can be observed on them. The first and most common problem is eye dryness. Harmful light from the technological devices leads to dry eyes, which can end even with pain in eyes. Furthermore, playing games on the computer may cause to concentration problems for the kids. When they play active games such as car race, they cannot focus on their lessons too much. Since they get used to colorful and engaging games, they might be bored while doing other activities. To show an example, the study from a school in the USA found that 45% of the children wear eyeglasses due to screen time, and 53% of them have concentration problems in lessons.

To solve these issues, parents should be more attentive. They must set limits on their children’s screen time. Even if the children try to avoid these kinds of prohibitions, the parents should be able to explain the reason and result of it. They can set timers in order to manage the children’s playing time. Additionally, wearing protective eyeglasses, which are made to block harmful light, can be a possible solution, too. Regarding the second issue about lack of focus, the parents should create more interactive games for their children in order to increase the level of concentration. For instance, one of the clubs for the parents in London helps them find interesting activities to play with their children to avoid them playing computer games, therefore they can be engaged more real-life games instead online ones.

In conclusion, pain in eyes and lack of concentration are the most common problems among the children who play computer games too much. However, parents can find the solutions in limiting time and involving their children in more real-life activities.
