Band 6+: Nowadays, many people think that technology has had a negative impact on society. Others believe that modern technology has improved society. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages that technology has brought to modern society.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

One of the most topical issues in modern society is modern devices have had an effect on our lives. There are some people who think that intelligent devices can bring some benefits to society; nevertheless, others believe smart technology will bring many drawbacks. In this essay, I will examine both the upsides and the downsides of using technology in modern life and give my opinion.

On the one hand, there are several rewards of using modern devices in life. Perhaps the main benefit is that it is easier to expand knowledge. This is because in modern society, there are various useful websites on smart phones that can help people search for information easily and quickly. Secondly, technology can do some domestic work. To explain, when individuals are busy at their work, modern technology like robots will clean the house due to people are setting time.

On the other hand, there are also various cons of using modern technology in daily life. Primarily, technology makes individuals working at companies feel unsafe. To illustrate, modern devices are not tired like humans, so they can work twenty-four hours and maybe replace people to do difficult work more productively than humans. In other negative ways, it makes people lazy. For example, individuals always depend on cars controlled by robots, and for any light task, they let machines do the work. That leads to them being too dependent on smart technology and forgetting that it is only necessary to support us, not a complete replacement.

In conclusion, modern technology will bring a lot of benefits for humans in many elements, like education, exploration of outer space, and networks, but it is also really dangerous for people. Not only that, it is easier to expand knowledge. but also it can do some domestic work; nevertheless, the threats are that technology can make individuals working at companies feel unsafe and make people lazy. In the future of technology, I think robots will contribute a large part to helping people explore outer space or do difficult things that individuals cannot do.
