In most countries, the number of self-employed individuals are at an increased which has conversely increased the GPD and government spendings on manufacturing companies for job creation. the creation of youth enterprenuership training programmes by the government have significantly contributed to the high self-employed trates within the citizenry.
The increasing self-employed among the citizens is a positive development for the country and have impacted posively in national development. Most of the graduates are not relying on the government for employment instead are self-employed and contributing their quota to national development. The country is blessed with a youthful population and many of which are into trading businesses like fishing, farming and transporation as many ae taking advantage of the maritine and vash space for agricultural production. this has reduced the crime rate in the country and consumption of drugs iamong the youthful population.
Some might think or rely on the government for employment thinking they should provide for its citizens, this could slower national development as many advatage countries have more self-employed individuals that government employed ones. Advance countries are developed on self-employement as their governments trained skills that will create self-employment instead of relying on the goverment for employment.
Thus, am with the conviction that self-employement can positively impact national development than relying on government or private sector for employment. Undoubtedly, the government or the private sector cannot provide employment for almost its citizenry, therefore self-employment will positively impact national development.
