Nowadays, many teachers suppose that they need to give school assignments to the pupils over their holidays. However, others think that students should spend their free time relaxing and chilling without studying. This topic is very controversial. This essay will examine both points of view, and the author’s opinion will be presented in the end.
On the one hand, the availability of homework helps schoolchildren escape long breaks from studying and revise their knowledge. Moreover, pupils have an opportunity to examine topics that were not understood by them earlier.
On the other hand, each student has a necessity to relax and put his attention on other spheres of life. Also, sometimes schoolchildren do not have time to spend time with family or meet friends, so holidays are the best time for it.
To summarize, while some people claim that having homework over holidays is essential, others believe that it is a waste of time. As far as I am concerned, it is better to spend the holidays without school assignments.
